Welcome to Adventures in Learning (AIL) 2021 Summer Program

We are excited to welcome campers back to in-person Adventures in Learning! This summer the structure of the program has been modified as we continue to navigate the impact of COVID--19 and  prioritize the health and safety of our campers, families and staff.  The in-person program options presented adhere to the District’s current mitigation plan and successful student cohort and pod framework.

Primary Program Information

The Primary Program provides stimulating activities for children Pre-K (4 years old by June 1st, 2021) and K - 1st Grade (5 years old by September 1st, 2021). These activities are carefully chosen by the professional staff to encourage growth in all areas of development. Activities are constructed in a child-centered environment and arranged around the needs of the group. Certified teachers structure a fun-filled day centered on read alouds, art projects, outdoor activities, math readiness activities and social interactions. The students look forward to the engaging activities, water play on the hot summer days, and meeting new friends. A certified teacher and one assistant teach each classroom. Each primary student is assigned to a classroom for the duration of the program.

The Primary Program will be housed at Crow Island, 1112 Willow Road, Winnetka. The program is held Monday - Friday, beginning at 8:35 a.m. and ending at 11:30 a.m.

A welcome email message will be sent in June and will include instructions about Crow Island use, parking, and teacher assignment. Please use your preferred email address when registering your child, as the welcome materials are no longer mailed.
